This is a new poem. Here’s a little bit of it my Luvaholics:

Momma, Teach Me Something New

Baby, the word “new” would imply the discovery of something never thought of before.

Soon you will learn, nothing is “new” under the Sun. Therefore, we do not have original thoughts; we simply come to the light of overstanding.

Have you ever questioned why I speak to you using words you may think you do not know?

The adult in me recognizes the truth of life in you.
