Speaking Up

Today, let us speak up about: HEALTHY LIFESTYLE/HEALTH TIPS I’VE LEARNED!

1.    Why should one become healthy and stay healthy?

A.    It is crucial to invest in your health at a young age, because it will impact everything (energy level, strength, skin, your five senses, mental stability) when you get older.

B.    Health is a sensitive subject to non-motivated individuals.

C.    To parents: It is important to do everything possible to be healthy in order to keep up with your child(ren), set an example, be around long enough to enjoy your child(ren).

D.    To avoid future illnesses (High blood pressure, Cholesterol, Diabetes, etc.).

2.    What are some steps to a beginner’s healthy lifestyle?

A.    First step is to admit the fact that you need to become healthy.

B.    Second step is to sit with yourself in front of a full length mirror and reflect on what changes you need to make internally and outwardly.

3.    Begin with some internal health solutions:

·         Research breathing techniques.

·         Read health books pertaining to your blood type.

·         Train your mind to prepare for a lifestyle change rather than just a temporary fix.

·         Surround yourself with positive energy. Get away from anything negative.

·         Be involved in whatever you have a passion for.

·         Take vitamins (Specifically: Vitamin B, D, E, for iron, or one that includes A-Z).

·         Drink A LOT of water (your weight divided by 2= the amount of fluid ounces of water you need to drink daily). Before eating, start your day off with a bottle of water. Drink a bottle of water before each meal. Juice fruits and vegetables.

·         Use natural herbs (flax seeds, chai seeds, etc.).

·         Eat as much fiber as possible.

·         Lower the amount of calories you eat. Carbohydrate foods are bad calories.

4.    Some external solutions:

·         Exercise (cardio, gym, dance, hike, play a sport) Instead of the elevator, take the stairs. Park far at a grocery store to get those extra steps).

·         The skin is very sensitive and we need to take care of it. (Cocoa butter, shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, cucumbers, lemon, honey are all natural products that can be used).

·         Take care of your teeth. Very important to keep up with cleaning the inside of the mouth. To eliminate gum diseases.

·         Good Hygiene is very important.

·         Get a good amount of sleep.

5.    Some of the bad habits to stay away from:

A.    Stay away from any type of soda (diet, 0 Calories, etc.). Stay away from sugary drinks.

B.    Stay away from negative energy.

C.    Stay away from cigarettes, alcohol, gambling, narcotic drugs.

D.    Try to cut down the hours you spend on the computer, t.v., phone, etc..

E.    Be active as much as possible.

** Everything starts from the inside. Fix the inside (mentally, emotionally, and spiritually) and the outside (physically) will reflect the fruit of that labor.

** Surround yourself with motivated individuals.

**Smile no matter what. It could be worse.

This is what I have learned thus far. GOOD LUCK MY LUVAHOLICS!

  1. Start by doing cardio exercise around 20 minutes or
so each session, maybe two or three times per week. Just a gym that has some plates, barbells, a bench, a power rack (for squats), and pull up and dip bars.

Huizenga told him that he basically gained 24 years back on his life by losing 115 pounds.
