The first time I ever read the original  by Gil Scott-Heron, it was on a beat up sheet of paper.

 Dirt was over it, kinda tear up. Holes and everything. Who knew that,that same sheet of paper would hold such powerful words.

This is a modern day remake I wrote in high school. It's only right, I leave this one how I first read it. (Click picture to make the words bigger)
